Tree Falls On Vehicle Two People Killed Near Grant, Alabama

GRANT, AL-On Monday, November 30 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the life of two people and one person has been taken to hospital with injuries:

“A one-vehicle crash at 5:25 a.m. today, November 30, has claimed the lives of two people.

Joshua Zeb Vaughn, 34, and Sarah Megan Carrigg, 33, of Grant were killed when a tree fell on the 2006 Jeep Liberty that Vaughn was operating. Vaughn and Carrigg were pronounced dead at the scene. A juvenile occupant was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred on Swearengin Road near Echota Drive, approximately one fourth of a mile south of Grant. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
