Trayce Riley Thompson “Trooper Trayce”, 20 months, passed away in the bright sunny morning on Saturday, July 1, 2023. Visitation will be at Colbert Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 1pm until 3pm. A private funeral service will be held. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Thomas Thornton and Brother Bernard Baugh will officiate the service.
He is survived by his parents, father, Reginald Thompson Jr. “RayJ”; mother, Courtney Aday; brother, Jayden Aday; paternal grandparents, Reginald Thompson Sr. (Janice); maternal grandmother, Leanne McDonald; maternal great grandparents, Thomas Thornton (Mildred).
Trayce’s pallbearers will be by his dad, mom and brother.
A special thank you to the UAB RNICU and Children’s of Alabama NICU Nurses and staff for their love and excellent care of our Baby Trayce. And extra special nurses that went above their call of duty, Cayton, Mary Helen, Kathryn. RT’s, Natalie, Payton. NP’s Kim, Kara, Nicole.
Trayce may have lived his life in a hospital but that didn’t stop him from being a fighter and defying all odds. He had a big, sweet personality and contagious smile and the sweetest dimples. Our beautiful boy, in peace, may you leave this shore. In love, may you find the next. May we meet again.
