MCFARLAND PARK, FLORENCE – It was a real nail-biter of a day. What with all the rain that started falling Friday night and continued well into the morning, motorcycle riders from all over the country didn’t know whether or not the event was actually going to happen. But as mid-day approached, the Trail of Tears event at McFarland Park was graced by clear skies.

The Ride began in the rain Chattanooga and continued on to Florence. As the motorcycle caravan roared southwest to The Shoals, it picked up more riders. Sure, the numbers weren’t as good in previous years due to the inclement weather. It was still a real respectable showing as thousands of bikes rumbled into the park. There was even another Trail of Tears meet-up in Waterloo. All-in-all, lots of remembrance.

The Quad-Cities Daily was down at McFarland taking EVENT PHOTOS and we present them here. Make yourself a copy, if you wish. Please NO COMMERCIAL USE.
