MORGAN COUNTY-The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department made a routine traffic stop resulting in the arrest of one man on drug charges.
Here is how the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department describes the arrest:
“Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. The stop occurred at the intersection of Highway 36 and Union Hill Road in the Cotaco Community. Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Benjamin Griffin. During a consensual search of the subject’s vehicle, deputies located a quantity of Methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia. Morgan County Drug Task Force Agents were called and charged Griffin with the offenses listed below.
Back in March of this year, deputies had a similar encounter with Griffin. Then, deputies arrested Griffin for Unlawful Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Deputies will pursue having Griffin’s bond revoked.
