MUSCLE SHOALS-On April 15, 2024 Agents with Colbert County Drug Task Force along with assistance from Muscle Shoals PD, conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Woodward Avenue and Sixth Street.
After speaking with the driver consent to search was given to agents. When the passenger of the vehicle was removed from
the vehicle, and positively identified as Taishun Kendale Abernathy, he was confirmed to have warrants in Franklin County. During arrest subject was searched and two medicine bottles were located on his person. The bottles contained 238 Fentanyl pills and 1 grams of methamphetamine. Also located on his person was $1,375 in US currency.
All evidence was seized and subject was transported to Colbert County Jail and charged with Drug Trafficking and Possession of a controlled substance. Holds were also placed for Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
