ATHENS-On September 6, 2023, the Limestone County Narcotics Unit, along with Athens Police Department – Alabama’s Narcotic Unit, conducted a traffic stop at the Mark Motel located on Highway 31 in Athens. As a result of the traffic stop, 4 ounces of Methamphetamine and a loaded firearm were located.
Edward Ferguson, 34, of Athens AL, was charged with Drug Trafficking (Methamphetamine). Ferguson is currently in the Limestone County Detention Facility with a $30,000.00 Bond.
Chelse Nunley, 30, of Athens, AL, was charged with Drug Trafficking (Methamphetamine) and Possession of a Pistol Forbidden to Possess. Nunley is Currently in the Limestone County Detention Facility with a $31,000.00 Bond.
