COLBERT COUNTY-On Sunday, December 3 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a traffic accident that took the life of a Leighton woman. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin:
“On 12/3/2017 at 4:30 a.m. Troopers from the Quad Cities Trooper Post responded to a one vehicle crash on AL. 184 west of Bainbridge Loop in Colbert County. This is 2 miles east of Muscle Shoals. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Colbert County Coroner and the passenger was transported to Helen Keller Hospital where he was treated and released.
The deceased was a 24-year-old female from Leighton, AL. The crash is under investigation by troopers from the Quad Cities Trooper Post. No further information will be released until the investigation is complete.”
