Traffic Accident Claims The Life Of Hamilton Woman

traffic_fatality2FRANKLIN COUNTY-Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a traffic fatality on Highway 43 near Russellville on Wednesday, April 27:

“A single-vehicle crash at 3:30 p.m. today, April 27, has claimed the life of a Hamilton woman.

Linda Williams Pettigo, 64, was killed when the 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche in which she was a passenger left the roadway and struck several trees. Pettigo, who was not using a seat belt, was transported to Russellville Hospital in Russellville where she was pronounced dead. The vehicle’s driver, Ashley Webb Oliver, 23, of Hamilton, and two additional passengers were not injured.

The crash occurred on U.S. 43 at the 291 mile marker, one mile south of Russellville.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.”
