Tracy Gene Melton, 54, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at NMMC-Tupelo, MS. He was a very strong-willed man. He believed what he believed and there was no convincing him otherwise. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed riding backroads and listening to music and could prepare a meal out of anything. But most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Cynthia Murray (Brandon), Courtney Ott (Josh), Desire’ Woods (Daniel), Destyne Melton, Cameron Melton, Angelina Melton (Zach), and Embree Melton, his grandchildren, Kaleigh Ott, Keyonia Williams, Alayna Ott, Haleigh Williams, Heaven Murray, Tristan Woods, and McKenzie Woods, his siblings, Mary Pugh (Charles) Churchill, TN, Gary Melton (Lisa) Clarkes, LA, Linda Melton, Ricky Melton (Renea) Ecru, MS, Randy Melton (Bobby) Coffeeville, MS, Cindy Sparks Pontotoc, MS, John Melton (Wanda) Lion, MS, Lilly Melton (Robert) Pontotoc, MS, sister-in-law, Betty Melton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John David Melton, his mother, Vivian Eudora Melton, his sisters, Bonnie Melton and Debra Holland, and his brother, Charles David Melton.
Services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 11AM. Bro. Jeff Blackwelder will officiate.
