JASPER-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident that has taken the life of a North Carolina man:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3 a.m. Thursday, December 2, has claimed the life of a Bladenboro, N.C. man.
Danny S. Ashe, 50, was fatally injured when the 2004 Peterbilt tractor-trailer he was driving, left the roadway, struck a guardrail and then a bridge. The Peterbilt traveled off the bridge and overturned. Ashe was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near the 54 mile-marker, approximately seven miles northwest of Jasper. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
