Torrie Ann Blackwood, age 60, a resident of Ethridge, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Brian Adkisson, Ronnie Johnson, and Kenneth Jarratt officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Bridges Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 4:00- 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A native of Maury County, Torrie was the daughter of the late Robert “Bobby” Lee Davis and the late Elizabeth Jarratt Davis. She was a dependable hard worker who worked several years as an assembly line operator for Highly Marelli and also cleaned houses. She was a very God-fearing woman who loved going to church. Torrie was a faithful member of Elmore Church of the Nazarene. She lived for her family and devoted her life to taking care of others. She loved racecars and going to races. She had special love for animals and babies and had an exceptional love for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Tabitha Pope of Ethridge, Brandon (Sherrie Smythia) Pope of Columbia, Thomas (Megan) Dale of Ethridge, Deana Davis of Columbia, siblings, Bobbie Lynn (Bill Basenberg) White of Culleoka, Johnny Lee (Kathy) Davis of Columbia, Tommy Davis of Pulaski, grandchildren, Kerrieann (David) Erwin, Cody (Becca) Pope, Timothy (Bryr) Pope, AJ Pope, Leon Pope, Shelby Martin, Bryson Martin, Devante Rogers, Tez Rogers, Demaria Russell, great grandchild, Serenity Pope, nephews, Austin Davis, Jesse Davis, and numerous beloved pets.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Dale.
Pallbearers will be AJ Pope, Leon Pope, Timothy Pope, Cody Pope, Ernie Hill, Bobby Lee Hill, Jesse Davis, and Austin Davis. Honorary pallbearers will include Eddie Anderson, Travis Rye, members of Elmore Church of the Nazarene, and coworkers at Highly Marelli.
