“PopPop” was THE man that could fill a room with his joy and personality alone and an eye twinkle that could make any dull day brighter. He was a jokester with a mischievous grin that never met an unfamiliar face. He loved to sing but enjoyed it much more when he was leading the congregation at Center Hill Church of Christ in song. He was a very loving man, but there are few things that he loved more in this world than his family (especially his grandkids), banana splits and chocolate milkshakes. In his spare time, he also liked to work on and admire old cars.“PopPop”, will be truly and deeply missed.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carolyn Waddell Rogers; daughter, Becky Jones (Jeremy Gann); son, Casey Rogers (Marisa); four grandsons, Logan Green (Kasey), Zackary Jones (Ariana), Gannon Gann, and Skylar Webb; four granddaughters, Kaylie Gann, Kaity Jackson (Rob), Tori Laxson, and Katie Laxson; three great grandsons, Kai, Grayson, and Beckett; three great granddaughters, Nicole, Adrianna, and Karissa; a sister, Bonita Erwin (Rick); nieces and nephews; step-father, Clem Waddell; and brother and sister in law, Richard and Joyce McLemore.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Aubra Rogers and Bonnie Rogers Waddell; and grandson, Kyle Jones.
Pallbearers will be Logan Green, Zackary Jones, Landon Black, Randall Stamps, Skylar Webb, Brian Wahl, Sawyer Stamps, and Raleigh Stamps. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kai, Grayson, Nicole, Adrianna, Beckett, Karissa, Jimmy Burgess and Perry England.
