A native and life-long resident of Bolivar, he was the son of the late Tony Michael Jeter, Sr. and Betty Lou Doles Jeter. Mr. Jeter was a 1987 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and worked with his father, Mike, the owner/operator of City Gulf service station in Bolivar at the corner of Market and Jones streets. He also had been owner of Jeter’s Mufflers and More.
In his leisure time, Tony enjoyed duck hunting and generally spending time outdoors. He was always interested in how things were built and was often found taking apart and putting back together various mechanical items.
He leaves two sons, Josh Jeter and Michael (Lara) Jeter, both of Bolivar; his sister, Cristie (Michael) Daniel of Bolivar; three grandsons, Clinton Ray, Brayden Michael and Ethan James Jeter; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; long-time girlfriend, Gidget Doty of Bolivar; and step-mother, Georgia Jeter, also of Bolivar.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by two brothers, Kelly Eugene Jeter and Gene Dorris, Jr.
