Toni Marie Patterson-Dulaney, 53, passed away of cancer on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 8:28 pm under the wonderful care of the team at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. Miss Toni was a loving daughter to her parents, Kenny and Karen Patterson of West Lafayette, OH and a great big sister to Annette Wyler and Vicki McGinnis.
She was a loving, strong, happy, and spunky wife to Mr. Ken Dulaney and they lived in Belmont, MS after leaving the U.S. Air Force in the early 1990’s. She was the dedicated and loving mother to Tiffoni Danielle Eaton, Micala Rochelle Robinson, and Karena Monique Dulaney and stepmom to Mr. Austin Ray Dulaney. She was a fierce grandmother of Corbin Ray Dulaney, Joseph Declan McKinney, Zebediah Daniel Eaton, and Mila Marie McKinney, who made the best sausage gravy, “panna kakes” and lemon icebox pie with all the right “MawMaw love”.
Miss Toni was a defender of those that needed help. She insisted on loving others with the heart of Jesus. She insisted that her family see with the eyes of Jesus, hear with the ears of Jesus, and love with the heart of Jesus. She always smiled, even in pain, and those smiles lit up the room she walked into.
Miss Toni was a U.S. Air Force Veteran where she served as a medical technician at Offutt AFB in Omaha, NE. She met her husband Ken there at Strategic Air Command and they married on February 1st, 1990 after only a three month engagement. She spent the following 33.9 years training Ken on how to be a better man and passing along to her children how to serve God and those around them with kindness and caring, all while standing up for themselves and others with love.
She lived by the words each day “Look for the God Winks” and she loved without comas. She didn’t love you but, or if, she just loved you. Her family will continue this practice and encourage all to look for those God Winks every day.
She was adored, she will be missed terribly, and she would say “No more crying. Today we don’t have cancer!” We will attempt to honor that. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 6, 2:45 p.m. at Liberty Church of Christ Fellowship Hall, Dennis, MS. A time of visitation will be held from 2 until 2:45.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Shepherd’s Hands, Tupelo Children’s Mansion or Regional Rehab Center, all of Tupelo, MS.
“LOOK FOR THE GOD WINKS!” Miss Toni Dulaney
