Tommy Wayne Baker, age 82 of Hackleburg, Alabama passed away June 7, 2024. He retired from Fontaine after having worked 40 years and he attended New Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Hodges.
Visitation will be Monday, June 10, 2024 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. There will be a graveside service at Cedar Tree Cemetery, Hackleburg at 2:00 p.m. with Tony Wood and Kaleb Baker officiating. Pallbearers will be Koty McCarley, Ethan Frye, Kelby James, Geoff Cooper, Luke Frye, Logan Cagle and BJ Frye. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Gregg, Uriah Thompson, Charlie James, Wesley and Colt Frye, Charles Burnell, Tae Garrett, Rylan McCarley, Kanaan, Taylor, Tucker McCarley, Donnie Smith, Neal Burleson, Hudon Hill and Steve Pickens.
Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Alice Ruth Baker; children, Sherry Cooper, Buddy (Pam) Baker, Jennie Tatum and Eric (Kristie) Baker; sister in law and brother in laws, Charles and JoAnn Burnell and Bill Gregg; grandchildren, Kaleb (Lydia) Baker, Madison Baker (Logan), Geoff Cooper (Terri), Emily McCarley (Koty), Ethan Frye (Nichole), Shelly Cooper, Audra James (Kelby), Millie McQueen (June Bug), Luke Frye (Kayla), Jessica Johnston (Levi), Jarrett Montgomery (Madison) and BJ Frye (Savanah); 24 great grandchildren; one uncle , Wes Cantrell, 96 of Arkansas; multiple friends, nephews and neices.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kim Buck Baker and Eva Lorene Cantrell Baker.
