Tommy Johnson, age 74, passed away on December 28, 2023, at his home in Ohatchee. He was born in Alexandria on December 11, 1949, to the late Wallace and Lola Johnson. Tommy was a beloved husband, father, and Papa.
Tommy worked at Werner for 17 years, from there he worked at CPC Logistics where he retired after 14 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, camping, and watching old westerns. He was an avid Alabama Football fan. He loved his girls to no limit.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lynn Johnson; daughter, Tara Upton; sons, Michael Johnson and Jason Howard; sisters, Nancy Bussey, Kay Small and Faye Cavileer; and many sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Jordan Holt, Dalton Willis, Mackenzie Willis, Cody Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson, Austin Johnson and Colby Darnell; and great-grandchildren, Christian Roche, Jameson Holt and Lyndi Holt.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Wallace and Lola Johnson; mother-in-law, Margaret Wilson; daughter, Michelle Johnson; son-in-law, Lance Upton; brothers, Harold Johnson and Terry Johnson; and sister, Jimmie Neal Guthrie.
Tommy was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to give a special thanks to his nephew, Ray Guthrie, for all his support through dialysis, and to Fresenius Kidney Care.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Don Pitts will officiate.
