Tommy Joe Timms, Sr., 68 years old from Ryan’s Well went to be with Jesus on December 28, 2023. He was born in Itawamba County to Hollis and Juanita Orear Timms. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Blue Springs Masonic Lodge. He was of Baptist faith, served in the National Guard and worked in furniture manufacturing.

Services will be Saturday, December 30, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Mike Deaton officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Springs Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Roby Timms of Amory; son, Tommy Joe Timms, Jr. (Marley) of Saltillo; daughters, Jessica Marie Jackson (Tim) of Booneville and Allison Harris (Steven) of Amory; three beloved granddaughters, Kennadie Timms, Chloe Boyd and Paisley Boyd; one brother, Jerry Timms of Belmont; sister-in-law, Ernestine Timms of Belmont; two nieces, Gina Bonds and Brandi Haynes and one nephew, Tony Timms.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Carl and Hattie Orear and C.C. and Willie Timms and four brothers, Larry Wade Timms, Hollis Eugene Timms, Alvie Gene Timms and Jimmy Dale Timms.

Pallbearers will be Steve Sharp, Tim Jackson, Connor Timms, Jamie Wilson, Garrett Rooker and Greg Collier. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Bennett and Andy Chumbley.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 30, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
