Tommy Earl “Bud” Hale, 90, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Tishomingo Manor, Iuka, Ms. He was born January 15, 1922 in Mississippi. He was retired from American Motors/Chrysler after 34 years and he was a member of UAW-72. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. He attended Golden Central Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.
Services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Ms. with Bro. Mickey Trammel and Bro. Glen Smith officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery, Belmont, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of 47 years – Alyce J. Hale, Golden, Ms.; three children – Christy Hale Nieto (Angel), Tommy Earl Hale II (Lucy) and Donald T. O’Malley (Renee); one sister – Mary Jean McNamee (Pat); one brother – Leon Hale (Coleen); nine grandchildren – Mandy Nichols, Danny “Tuffy” Nichols, Chelsea Nichols, Shelly O’Malley, Marty O’Malley, Gabriela Nieto-Hale, Crus Nieto-Hale, Hannah Nieto-Hale and Luma Hale; three great-grandchildren – Carley Tedford, Aislynn Tedford and Brayden Kelton and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hale and Clara Bostick Hale, one daughter, Catherine Mitchell, four sisters and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Josh Elrod, Johnny Johnston, Gary Fred Hale, Harmon Ginn, James Sparks and Kane Harris.
Visitation will be 10-12 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms.
