Tommy Carter, 65 of Toney, Alabama died on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Residence in Toney, Alabama.
Born Friday, March 9, 1951 in Huntsville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Alvie Carter and the late Lena Brooks Carter. He was preceded in death by a brother Willard Ralph Carter.He enjoyed Hunting & fishing, and took pleasure sitting with his loving family and friends while reminiscing and telling stories. He was a retired Chief deputy sheriff of Madison county.
He was the husband of Janice Boles Carter.
Surviving are sons, Jake Church of Hazel Green, AL, Hustion & Kristie Carter of Huntsville, AL and Evan & Chelsea Carter of Toney, AL, daughter, Ashlee & Jacob Gatlin of Madison, AL, brothers, A J & Linda Carter of Toney, AL, Don & Evelyn Carter of Toney, AL, Danny & Linda Carter of Hazel Green, AL and Alton & Kay Carter of Toney, AL, sisters, Hilda Heathcoat of Huntsville, AL and Pam & Doug Hensley of Toney, AL. Two Grandchildren: Ella Gatlin & Carter Gatlin.
A Funeral service was at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home located at 27186 Main Street Ardmore, Alabama.The family visited with friends from 12 Noon til service time. Interment was in Madison Cross Roads Cemetery, Toney, AL.
