Tommy Allen Smith, 85, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. He was born on August 27, 1938, to Thomas Earl Smith and Dollie Mae Smith. Mr. Smith served in the United States Army. He enjoyed gardening and drinking coffee with his buddies. He loved and cherished his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Dewayne Smith (Ronda), Dwight Smith, and Dana Smith; five grandchildren, Whitney Christensen, Donovan Smith (Kristie), Cheyenne Castles (Chandler), Kaylee Smith, and Karson Smith; six great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Christensen, Maeve Castles, Emelia Smith, Emery Smith, Ellakay Smith, and Everlee Smith; one sister, Mary Lee Jones (James); and two brothers, Jerry Smith (Debbie) and Franky Smith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann Smith; two brothers, Billy Smith and Danny Smith; and father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Bonnie Sumner.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring his life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Tupelo with Bro. Franky Smith and Bro. Frank Panzrino officiating. Graveside services will follow at Lee Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ron Helms, David Putt, Jeff Smith, Steven Smith, Prentiss Turner, Buddy McKissick, Greg Jones, and Eric Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Haddon, Bobby Nino, and Kevin Lansdell.
