Tommie Lee Taylor, age 69 of Piedmont, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shorty and Mammie Lee Taylor; siblings, Elizabeth Dickerson, Howard Wilkes and Thomas Wilkes; and son-in-law, David Kennedy.
Tommie is survived by his wife, Pat Taylor; children, James Taylor (Karen) and Rhonda Kennedy; grandchildren, Trenton Kennedy, Dominique Kennedy, Haley Taylor, James-David Taylor, Maddison Taylor and Landen Taylor; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Ann Christopher and Charles Ernest Taylor; several nieces and nephews; chosen children, Marquis Martin, Melissa Elrod and Jay Martin; and fur babies, Coco, Precious and Crazy Cat.
Tommie was a truck driver and also worked in lawn maintenance. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his truck. He was a member of Community Congregational Holiness Church and a former volunteer fireman for the White Plains Volunteer Fire Department.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Community Congregational Holiness Church in Jacksonville. Bro. Danny Jeffers and Bro. James Rosser will officiate.
