Tommie Jean Hunter Watts Sadler Seitz, 88, of Huntsville was born on July 15, 1935, and passed away at Brookshire Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on May 14, 2024. Tommie grew up in the Owens Cross Roads and New Hope communities and graduated from New Hope High School in 1954. Tommie was a member of Mayfair Church of Christ and worked for many years in the Human Resources Department for the City of Huntsville.

During her life, Tommie suffered the loss of her father, Emmitt Taft Hunter; mother, Gracie Mae Hunter; sister, Elizabeth Ann Newman; husband, Billy N. Sadler; infant son, Darryl Watts; daughter, Lisa Watts Baker; nephew, Matthew Hunter; and niece, Tammy Newman.

Survivors include her husband, Robert North Seitz; sons, Chris (Anna) Watts and Shannon Watts; granddaughter, Amber Watts; stepdaughter, Susan (Larry) Hereford; stepson, Rob (Amanda) Seitz; step-grandchildren, Ben (Meredith) Loper, Taylor (Rachael) Loper, Marshall Loper, Emily (Travis) Eberhart, Scott (Andrea) Seitz, Kiley Seitz, and Thomas Seitz; eight step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Carl (Judy) Hunter and Roger (Donna) Hunter; and nieces and a nephew.

Visitation will be held at Laughlin Service Funeral Home on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 in the funeral home chapel with Clifton Mann officiating. Tommie’s final resting place will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Hospice for their care and support during Tommie’s final months, her Mayfair Sunday School Class for all the cards and prayers, and the staff of Brookshire Nursing Home.
