Tom went to meet the Lord on August 14, 2021 in Anniston Alabama. Tom was born in Anniston Alabama on March 19, 1952. He was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was preceeded in death by his father Thomas Allen Stacks, mother Sudie Gentry Stacks, brothers Jerry Shumaker and Pedro Stacks. Eight sisters, Elizabeth Shumaker, JoAnn Folsom(Annie Jo), Ola Ruth Bower(Punkin), Bessie Arnold, Loretta Gentry(Tinky), Mary McMichael(Snitchie), Caroline Stacks and Patricia Stacks. Tom is survived by sisters Mae McKinney and Annette Stacks-Hake, three brothers-in-law Howard Arnold, Horace McMichael and Jack Hake along with generations of nieces and nephews and cousins.
Tom was a graduate of Walter Wellborn High School and was affiliated with the Anniston First Wesleyan Church and the Foursquare Church. Tom worked in the construction industry for most of his working career.
The family is planning to conduct a celebration of life for Tom at a later date to be announced. Tom will be placed beside his mother and father at the Pine Grove cemetery in Wellborn.
