Tom David Demastus  Tom David Demastus, age 56, formerly of Russellville, passed away on Thursday, March 06, 2025, at his residence after a hard but courageous battle with cancer.

Tom worked for years as the Area Sales director for Flowers Distribution Company. He was an avid crappie fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was a diehard Alabama fan and enjoyed watching the games with his friends. He loved his wife, sons, and grandchildren very much and left them many wonderful memories. He was loved by many and will be missed by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Demastus; grandparents, David Demastus, Leona Demastus, Homer McGuire, and Leller Prince.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 35 years, Kim Sockwell Demastus; sons, Austin Demastus (Leigh Ann), Eric Demastus (Savannah); grandchildren, Luke Demastus, Blake Demastus, Raelee Demastus, Lane Demastus, Kenzie Demastus; mother, Mary Lynn Demastus Lowery; brothers, Terry Demastus (Shelia), Paul Demastus (Stacey); and several nieces & nephews.

The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 08, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 09, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Steve Hargrove officiating the service. The burial will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Austin Demastus, Eric Demastus, Paul Demastus, Terry Demastus, Mike Massey, and Chris Williams. The honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Harris, Kevin Brown, Tim Crumpton, Lee Adams, Brad James, and Marcus Simmons.

The family would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kingsley and his staff at Clearview Cancer Institute, as well as to the staff of Affinity Hospice for your love and care of our family.
