TJ Ritchison, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 36 in Lebanon, TN. Born on July 5, 1988, in Old Hickory, TJ was a cherished member of the community who touched many lives with his kindness and passion.
TJ was saved by grace in 2004, marking the beginning of a journey filled with faith and dedication. He began his career at Aldi in Lebanon, TN, on July 30, 2007, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. His professional life was only one facet of who he was; TJ’s true legacy is found in the love he poured into his family and friends.
He met and married his beloved wife, Kendra Ritchison, with whom he shared a deep bond and a life filled with joy. Together, they raised three beautiful children: Sophie, John Abram, and Ruby Jo Ritchison. TJ’s love for his children was evident in every aspect of his life, and he found great fulfillment in being a devoted father.
TJ was passionate about many things, including video games, medieval history, fishing, golfing, cooking, playing music, and cheering on the University of Tennessee Volunteers Football Team. His enthusiasm for these interests brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others who shared his passions. He was also known for his generous spirit and his commitment to pouring into others, always eager to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.
He is preceded in death by Brenda Winfree (David) and John Reasonover. TJ is survived by his loving wife Kendra Ritchison, their three children Sophie, John Abram, and Ruby Jo Ritchison, his grandparents Charles and Jacque Ritchison, Ava Thomas, his father and mother Tracy Ritchison and Tammie Reasonover, his sister Tabitha Murray (Kyle) and their children Luna and Lily, and his uncles Johnny “Bubba” Reasonover (Lisa), Chris Winfree, and Tony Ritchison. He also leaves behind his in-laws Lamar and Denise Cannon, as well as Andy and McClain Cannon and their children Carter, and Thatcher.
He also leaves behind a host of many extended family members and cherished friends.
TJ Ritchison will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, and his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate TJ’s life on Thursday, September 5th to recognize the impact he had on those around him. The Celebration of Life is 6 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2024 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Honorary Pallbearers: Seth Kinslow, Aaron Grooms, Andy Cannon, Cole Patterson, and Nate Beatty. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made payable to his wife Kendra Ritchison which will be put into a trust fund for his children.
