Tina Marlene Looney, age 61, a resident of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center, after her courageous battle with cancer.
Tina truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: story telling with friends and family, cooking, swimming with her grands, and porch sitting with David while listening to her favorite radio station K-LOVE. She was of the Baptist faith and passionate about her relationship with God. She had a character that touched all those around her deeply. To her grands she was known as “Maw,” and to friends she was known as “Rock,” and with her love through us all her legacy will live on.
Born on May 26, 1962, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Tina was the daughter of the late Junior Lee Looney and the late Vernon Mae Adams Looney. She dedicated most of her career as a CNA for at home care, which she loved.
She is survived by her husband, David Houston Vinson of Lawrenceburg, TN, daughter, Kaycie McDaniel of Athens, AL, siblings, Donnie Maurice Cubbage, Brenda Lee Looney, and Pamela Diane Bedford, grandchildren, Kaleb Chase McDaniel, Callie Grace McDaniel, Emory Rayne McDaniel, and numerous step grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Ray Cubbage.
It was Tina’s request that there be no public service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
