Timothy William McReathTimothy William McReath, aged 73, of Athens, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025. Born on April 6th, 1951, in Falkville, Alabama, Timothy was the son of the late James Basil McReath and Rose Murphy McReath.

Mr. McReath leaves behind a rich legacy through his family. He is survived by his cherished wife, Charlotte McReath, and his loving children, Brian McReath and his wife Kim, and Marisha Pressley and her husband David. He was a proud grandfather to Drew McReath, Easton Elizer, Adelaine Pressley, and Silas Pressley. Timothy is also survived by his siblings: Jean Putman and her husband Herb, Sue Smiley and her husband Larry, Janice Drake and her husband Michael, and Jimmy McReath. He will be fondly remembered by many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Jamie Stewart officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at the funeral home before the service. He will be laid to rest at Burningtree Cemetery.

Timothy was an ardent supporter of Alabama football, but his greatest joy came from his role as a grandfather. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he was a constant presence at their events, cheering them on with pride and love. He was a man of faith and attended East Highland Baptist Church. His vibrant spirit and unwavering devotion to his family have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be dearly missed, yet his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
