Timothy Wayne Butler, age 64, of Greenbrier, passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024 at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024 at 12pm in the chapel of Austin and Bell Funeral in Greenbrier with Brother Robbie Caton officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery, with Payton Wheeler, Colton Wheeler, Kaden Vinsant, Drake Brown, Chris Smith and Dryw Young serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10am until hour of service at 12pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Butler was born September 14, 1959 in Madison, Tennessee to Shirley Sue Howell Butler and the late Joe Davis Butler. In his spare time, he loved watching TV (documentaries and history), reading and riding motorcycles. Mr. Butler was a heavy equipment operator.
In addition to his father, Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sam and May Howell and paternal grandparents, Riley and Addie Butler.
Mr. Butler is survived, in addition to his mother, by daughters; Lisa (Chris Smith) Butler of Greenbrier and Holly (Eric Salt) Butler of Clarksville; brother, Tony Butler of Greenbrier; sister, Susan Butler (Buddy) Young of Greenbrier; nieces, Vanessa (Tim) Brown and Erin McFerrin; nephew, Dryw (Melody) Young; and 4 grandchildren, Payton Wheeler, Reagan Vinsant, Colton Wheeler and Kaden Vinsant.
