Timothy “Timmy” Wayne Townsend, 39 of Double Springs, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his residence.
Timmy was born on August 22, 1984, in Haleyville, Alabama. He graduated from Winston County High School in 2003. He enjoyed Auto Mechanic and hunting and fishing with his son. Timmy loved spending time with his family and friends and was loved by all who knew him.
Timmy is survived by his parents, Dennis and Pat Townsend; his son, Elijah Townsend; his brothers, Patrick (Joanne) Townsend, Josh (Mandy) Townsend, Adam (Kelley) Townsend, and Jakob Townsend; 6 aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Fairview Baptist Church in Double Springs where the service will be held at 2:00pm. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Ebron Church Cemetery. Brother Ronnie Melvin will officiate.
Timmy was preceded in death by his grandparents; aunts, Brenda Beard and JoAnn Fortenberry; and uncle, Jimmy Townsend.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Townsend, Josh Townsend, Adam Townsend, Jakob Townsend, Noah Townsend, Seth Townsend, and Russell Hill.
