Timothy “Tim” Terry Goodwin, age 46, of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Tim was born on February 22, 1969, in Columbia, Tennessee to Terry and Patsy Hinson Goodwin. He was a graduate of MTSU with a B.S. in management. He was employed as the Assistant Produce Manager at Kroger in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He enjoyed turkey and deer hunting, and also spending time fishing. Tim was a much loved son, brother and uncle and a man of the Church of Christ faith.
Tim is survived by his parents: Walter Terry and Patsy Hinson Goodwin of Columbia, Tennessee; brother: Jason Goodwin of Culleoka, Tennessee; nieces: Kaylee Goodwin and Lauren Goodwin; and his nephew: Cole Goodwin. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Ewell and Margie Goodwin of Columbia, Tennessee and his maternal grandparents: Luke and Zola Hinson of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
Funeral services for Tim will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Greg Daimwood officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, January 16 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, January 17 from 12 Noon until time for the funeral service at 2:00 p.m.
Cole Goodwin, Randy Goodwin, Darin Kennedy, Tom King, James LaCroix, Harold Hinson, Sam Hinson and Jeremy Adcock will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Ephesus Church of Christ and employees of the Kroger Company will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund, 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211 or to Ephesus Church of Christ, 3473 Murphy Lane, Columbia, Tennessee.
