Timothy James Potts, age 65, passed away on August 16, 2024 at his residence in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He was born on July 21, 1959 in Burlington County, New Jersey to Charles Potts and Thelma Tapper Foulks Potts.
Timothy was a veteran serving in the military for many years before he began working for Potter & Sons Trucking as a driver.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Thelma Potts; sister, Alice Abbotte.
Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Janell Potts; son, Nathaniel Charles Potts; daughters, Kristal George (Brandon), Miranda Goins; sister, Gnell Turner (Norwood); grandchildren, Justin Britnell (Samantha), Braydyn Jeffreys (Ivy), Bailey Nipper, Savannah Patterson, Ky George; 10 great grandchildren and a host of friends.
Visitation will be August 22, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home with funeral services following at 3:00 p.m.in the Akins Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. James McCullar will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Jonesboro Cemetery, on Waterloo Road, Russellville, Alabama
Pallbearers are Nathan Potts, Brandon George, Justin Britnell, Braydyn Jeffreys, Noah Wyatt, Zack Wallace.
