Timothy Hoie Tate, age 68 of Fort Payne, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at his residence. Mr. Tate was born on April 3, 1956 in Fort Payne to the late Oscar H. “Dude” & Gladys Roden “Cleo” Tate. He was a member of Minvale Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Smith Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
He is survived by his sons, Heath Tate and Paul (Jenny) Tate; mother of his children, Loretta Tate Broaddus; sister, Ann Womack; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; special friend, Ronnie Rob; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Martha Babb.
