Timothy Gordon Dorris, age 55 of McMinnville, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at St. Thomas Midtown Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Memphis on August 27, 1968, to the late Kenneth “Ken” and Ann (Hampton) Dorris. Timothy was currently employed at Yorozu in McMinnville, where he had been employed for twenty years. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed cheering for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Cubs, and North Carolina Tarheels basketball. He also enjoyed watching Star Wars, Star Trek, and Marvel movies, especially with his boys. He was a wonderful father and will be remembered for his quick-whit and intellect. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles. Timothy is survived by his sons, Tobyn Dorris, and Gavin Dorris; sister, Tracey (David) Denton; nephews, Adam Denton and Family; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
