Graveside service for Timothy Christian Bankston, age 53, of Courtland, will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Midway Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Agee and Rev. Mr. Bankston, who died Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at his residence, was born December 2, 1969, in Alabama to Robert Timothy Bankston and Judith (Dillard) Bankston. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest & Gladys Dillard and Robert & Pauline Bankston. He loved everyone without exception and, in turn, was loved by everyone who knew him. His love of music brought out his own special dance moves. Since he could not speak, he lip synced the words accompanied by his air guitar. He was born the same year that Sesame Street began, and watched it every day of his 53 years. Also in his repertoire of TV were The Three Stooges and Smokey and the Bandit. Christian brought joy and happiness to all his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents, Tim and Judy Bankston; sister, Paige Bankston Mancuso (Angelo); and niece, Alexandra Sims (Chris McClellan).
Pallbearers will be Angelo Mancuso, Chris McClellan, Chris Bankston, Will Crow, Shane Dillard, and Shannon Dillard.
