“A three-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7:29 p.m. Sunday, November 28, has claimed the life of a Trinity man and injured another.

Bart Suggs, 54, of Trinity, was fatally injured when the 2007 Ford Econoline Van he was driving collided with a 2007 Ford F-350 flatbed pickup driven by Adam Kelly, 35, of Moulton. Kelly the driver of the F-350 attempted to miss the 1994 GMC Sonoma driven by Marvin Nelms, 35, of Trinity, however, was unable to avoid the collision and struck the Sonoma. The Sonoma was sitting stationary in the roadway at the time of the crash with no taillights on due to a mechanical failure. Bart Suggs was transported to Lawrence Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The crash occurred on Lawrence County 217 approximately eight miles south of Hillsboro. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
