DECATUR-The Morgan County Sheriff’s DEpartment issued a statement regarding drug arrests made on Thursday, August 24 by the sheriff’s department along with the Lawrence County Drug Task Force and Decatur Organized Crime Unit:
“On Thursday, August 24, 2017, the Morgan County Drug Task Force, Lawrence County Drug Task Force, along with Decatur Organized Crime Unit executed a search warrant at the address located at 1210 19th Ave SE Decatur, Al.
Agents made contact with Jessie Ray Perkins (W/M 53) within the residence. Agents also made contact with Raymond Mack Gettler Jr. (w/m 27), Britney LeeAnn Gettler (w/f 33). Their 1-year-old daughter was also present in the home at this time.
Agents located and seized multiple ounces of Methamphetamine and seized several thousand dollars of US

currency. Agents recovered several drug paraphernalia items, such as syringes and glass smoking pipes within the residence.
Britney Gettler
Agents also recovered numerous syringes, plastic baggies and marijuana in the bedroom belonging to Raymond and Britney Gettler. Morgan County DHR was called to the scene and placed the child in the care of other family members.
Jessie Ray Perkins was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine. Bond set at $10,000.00.
Raymond and Britney Gettler were arrested and charged with Chemical Endangerment of a Child, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana II Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond set for each at $5,600.00.”
