ATHENS-The contractor working on the downtown/historic area sewer replacement project will continue to have a portion of Beaty Street south of Hobbs Street closed this week, March 24-28.
ATHENS-The contractor working on the downtown/historic area sewer replacement project will continue to have a portion of Beaty Street south of Hobbs Street closed this week, March 24-28.The Street Department will close Lindsay Lane from Nick Davis to Alabama 251 on Tuesday, March 25, to work on a drainage culvert. This work is expected to take one day, barring any unforeseen issues. Another crew will work on the culvert head walls on the south end of Lindsay Lane on Tuesday, March 25. The street will not be closed on this section, but motorists should use caution.
On Wednesday, March 26, CSX will close Nuclear Plant Road from Stewart Road to Page Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for work in that area.
