FLORENCE-The actors of Three Murders and it’s Only Monday performed three performances this past weekend at the Shoals Theatre in downtown Florence.
The play was written by Pat Cook and directed by Mary Ellen Killen. Three Murders and it’s Only Monday is a mystery-murder spoof centered around a detective, Harry Monday, on a Monday full of murders.
The satire suited this funny mystery well. Harry Monday and other characters lit up the stage with their quick-witted lines. Each scene flowed well, and every joke animated the crowd with laughter.
This play had absolutely everything. The plot was chopped full of car crashes, a stormy night, a ventriloquist act, poison, guns and so much more!
The families took well to the light-hearted mystery. The stage was beautifully decorated, bright and stationary. For a play that kept me guessing till the end I give it five dead bodies out of five.
