Thomas Wayne Montgomery, 82, of Moulton, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. His graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Union Hill Cemetery with Chris Pressnell officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Born on May 29, 1942 to the late Clifton and Ruby Dover Montgomery, Thomas was retired from construction work and an Army veteran. His favorite pastime was riding his Goldwing motorcycle.
Survivors include his children, Tony (Beverly) Montgomery, Tim (Donna) Montgomery, Tad (Stephanie) Montgomery, Karan Montgomery, and Marsha Montgomery; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Vernalue Montgomery; parents; and brothers, Howell Montgomery, Sam Montgomery, Bill Montgomery, and Leman “Bud” Montgomery.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Montgomery, Cody Hagood, Chad Hagood, Kellen Dutton, Carson Simpson, and Yon Spigle.
The family extends special thanks to the staff at Summerford Health and Rehab along with Southern Care Hospice for their care of Thomas.
