Thomas Wayne McDowell, age 89, of Russellville, passed away on
November 25, 2023.
Mr. McDowell was a Christian, and a member of Southside Baptist Church. He was a Southern Baptist Pastor for many years, and a member of the Franklin County Cattleman’s Association. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and loved his Country.
Thomas is survived by his children, Mary Bettye Muse (Bobby), Allen Wayne McDowell (Tabatha); grandchildren, Jonathon Muse, Kristen Slone and
Alex McDowell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Seay McDowell; parents, Maxie Pierce McDowell and Lury Mae McDowell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Southside Baptist Church from 12pm until 2pm. The funeral service will follow at 2pm. Interment will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Bro. Wade Wallace will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Scott, Tim Stehno, Jonathan Muse, Alex McDowell, Joe Hester, Houston Hovater, Larry Wells and Jimmy Murphree.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Southside Baptist Church, PO Box 60 Russellville, Alabama 35653 or Franklin County Associational Builders for Christ, PO Box 1047, Russellville, Alabama 35653.
