Thomas W. “Tom, Doc” Doss, age 70, of the Henryville Community, left this life on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN, from injuries following a motor vehicle accident. He was a retired Physician Assistant, historian, and a Civil War re-enactor. He was also a member of Armies of Tennessee Re-enactors, American Legion Post 146, and Thousand Hills Cowboy Church. Mr. Doss was a Vietnam Veteran where he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and Air National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Margaret Frazier Doss; one sister, Lisa Stewart; and one brother, Steve Doss.

He is survived by his wife, Melaine Nash Doss of the Henryville Community; three children, Nina Jackson (Brent) of Henryville Community, Nathan Self (Ashley) of Henryville Community, and Jennifer Busby (Rodney) of the Brace Community; six grandchildren, Dawson Busby, Gavin Busby, Aliyah Jackson, Brooklyn Jackson, Sophie Self, and Noah Self; two sisters, Ann Sinsing and Deb Poag, both of Fairview, TN; three brothers, Ray Doss (Sandra) of Camden, TN, Mike Doss of MI, and Kenny Doss (Angie) of Knoxville, TN; a host of nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. A memorial service will be conducted at Thousand Hills Cowboy Church with full military honors at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2024, with Nathan Duncan officiating.
