Thomas (Tom) Demery – Obituary

Thomas (Tom) Demery was born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 20, 1950, the son of the late Jasper Christopher and Christine George Demery.

On July 22, 2009 he was united in marriage to Leatrice Thompson, who survives.

Mr. Demery served his country in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. While living in Memphis he made eyeglasses. After moving to Savannah, he worked for CCA in Clifton, Tennessee as a Guard. Mr. Demery was of the Catholic belief. He enjoyed in his spare time fishing and looking for arrowheads and artifacts. Mr. Demery always loved learning about anything.

He departed this life on March 21, 2017 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 66 years, 5 months and 1 day.

In addition to his wife, Leatrice of 7 years, he is survived by his step children, Kevin Copous and his fiancé, Tammy Pigg of Parsons, Tennessee and Rhonda Short of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald George and George Demery and three sisters, Helen Demery, Thelma Haley and Kathy Demery.
