Thomas Roger (TR) Daniel, age 66 of Florence, AL (St. Florian), died Sunday, October 13, 2013. TR was born November 6, 1946, to the late Grayford (Jackie) and Annie Daniel, of Collinwood, TN.
TR proudly served four years in the US Navy. He retired from TVA with thirty years of service, of which the last twenty years he worked as a Unit Operator at Colbert Fossil Plant.
He is survived by his soul mate, best friend, and love of his life, wife June Isbell Daniel; sons, Russell Daniel and wife Trilina, and Jason Daniel and wife Christy; step-son, Thomas Sneed and wife Tabitha; step-daughter, Melissa Sneed (Daniel); seven grandchildren whom he dearly loved and was extremely proud of, Mackenzie Daniel, Madison Daniel, Emberli Daniel, Elijah Thomas Daniel, Evan Woodis, Abigail Sneed, and Thomas Henry; sister, Barbara Michaels, father-in-law, Buddy Isbell; and the mother of his sons, Wanda Daniel.
In addition to his parents, TR was also preceded in death by his sister, Thelma; brother, Hoyt Ray; and mother-in-law, Mary Isbell.
TR was known for his love of Tennessee Football, Lady Vols Softball, and the Atlanta Braves. However, his greatest enjoyment came from watching his grandchildren play. Papaw was their greatest fan and cheerleader, attending games whenever possible.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with interment following in Glendale Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky McCann, Johnny Elom, Larry Reed, Sonny Isbell, Evan Woodis, David Smith, and Conner Vickery.
