Thomas Redman Brockway Jr. died on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 at age 59. He was born on April 7th, 1965 in Memphis Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Redman Brockway Sr. and uncle, Ronnie Dale Ellis of Memphis Tennessee. Survivors include his mother, Lynda Ellis Brockway, brother, Brent Ellis Brockway, niece, Brittney Brockway Reece (David), nephew, Bradley Ellis Brockway (Madeleine), great nephew, Rook Alexander Reece, aunt, Sally Brockway McReynolds of Shelbyville Tennessee and uncle, Daniel Lee Brockway (Sherry) of McKinney Texas.
Tommy graduated from Germantown High School in 1983 and earned a degree in finance from Mississippi State University in 1987. He completed his Judicial Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration at Emory University in 1991. While at Emory University he completed a summer program at the University of Oxford in England. He passed the bar easily and practiced law in Atlanta until he moved to Memphis in 1998. He passed the Tennessee bar and worked in the banking industry until he came to work in the family business, Target Medical, Inc. Tommy was beloved by his family and friends. His niece and nephew have fond memories of “Uncle Tommy Night”, when he came to their house and cooked dinner for them weekly.
Tommy enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing with Rook, spending time with friends and cooking for his family.
There will be a celebration of life at the Pickler Event Center located at 1146 Halle Park Circle, Collierville, Tennessee 38017, Saturday, June 8th at 6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Regional One Foundation, The Adult Special Care Center, 877 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103.
