Mr. Thomas Ray King, age 80, of Hartselle, Alabama, passed away at Decatur-Morgan Hospital on Monday, November 6, 2023. Mr. King was born March 8, 1943 in Marshall County, Alabama, son of Thomas Leonard King and Eturlia Hardin King. Ray grew up in the Ruth community of Arab but had lived in Hartselle for the past fifteen years. Ray worked for C&C Fabrication as a Sheet Metal Worker. He enjoyed working on cars in his spare time.
Family members surviving Ray include; brother, Rex King; sister and brother-in law, Opal and Johnny Martin; several nieces, one nephew and cousins; special friend, Donald Self, and a host of church friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Leonard and Eturlia Hardin King; brothers, Bobby Neal King, Jimmy Paul King and David Lee King.
Services for Mr. King will be at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Brother Randy L. Blakely will be officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Oak/Ruth Cemetery.
