Thomas Price Franklin, age 88 of Gallatin, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Funeral Service will be Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Major Barry Corbitt officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7th from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 8th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Dry Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Franklin was born May 31, 1936, in Gallatin to the late Thomas Virgle Franklin and Stella Venuel Wright Galbraith Franklin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Morgan Galbraith, S. D. Galbraith, Raymond Galbraith, and Venuel Galbraith; and sisters, Lillie Mae Eaton and Ruby Galbraith.
He is survived by wife of 36 years, Sheena Corbitt Franklin of Gallatin; sons, Steve Franklin (Jackie) of Gallatin, David Franklin of Franklin, KY, and Josh Allen of Nashville; daughters, Doretta Jenkins (Mike) of Castalian Springs and Brooke Minard (Christiaan) of Canada; grandchildren, Kyle Franklin, Kurt Franklin (Kayla), Kayla Stewart (Logan), Shelbi Flynn (Anthony), Austin Kirkland (Shelby), and Gage Minard; and great grandchildren, Gavin Franklin, Brody Franklin, Benjamin Franklin, Elijah Franklin, Noah Stewart, McKenzie Locke, Neely Flynn, Knox Flynn, Ryan Shepherd, and Eden Kirkland.
