Thomas Odell Jackson age 84 of Elkmont, passed away Sunday, April 5. 2015 at his residence. Mr. Jackson was born September 9, 1930 in Limestone County, AL to David Jerome Jackson and Ida Lillian Vinson Jackson.
Services will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015 2:30 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Leslie Bagsby and Scott Pepper officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:15 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Jackson was a member of Leggtown Church of Christ and was retired from Martin and Colby Construction Company.
Preceded in death by his parents, David and Ida Jackson; one grandson, Bryan Jackson; three brothers, Woodrow Jackson, David Jackson and Mason Jackson; three sisters, Martha Kelley, Geneva Watson and Reba Harrison.
Survived by his wife, Evelyn Jackson of Elkmont; six sons, Dwight Jackson of Athens, Billy Jackson and wife, Rita of Athens, Johnny Jackson and wife, Ann of Athens, Ronald Jackson of Elkmont, Randell Jackson and wife, Sherry of Athens and Donny Jackson of Athens; two daughters, Shelia Wilbanks, and husband, Dale of Athens and Deborah King and husband, Randy of Elkmont; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jory Jackson, Brandon Jackson, Brody Jackson, Shannon Wilbanks, Jamie King and Randy King. Honorary pallbearer will be Will Jackson.
