Thomas Leon Aycock, 85, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 25, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Shane Swinney officiating.
Leon worked as a Master Carpenter and was a member of the Carpenters Local. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert L. and Myrtle B. Aycock; brother, Charles Edward Aycock; son, Timothy L. Aycock; and wife, Shirley M. Sockwell Aycock.
Leon is survived by his daughters, Darlene Aycock McDonald, of Muscle Shoals, and Penny Aycock Brown, of Leighton; brothers, Hillard Aycock (Gloria), of South Carolina, and Jimmy Aycock (Veda), of Georgia; sister, Glenda Aycock Fisher, of Muscle Shoals; grandchildren, Sean Sockwell, Amber McDonald Lanier (Gary), and Joshua Brown (Angela); great-grandchildren, Gracie McAdams, Colton Lanier, Oliver Brown, and Aiden Wells; and several nieces and nephews.
Special recognition goes to Dr. Heinkel of Avalon Medical Group, Clearview Cancer Institute, and Amedisys Home Health and Hospice Care.
