Mr. Thomas Harris Gallaher was born June 23, 1942, in Waynesboro, TN to the late Harris Gallaher and Sarah Skelton Gallaher. Mr. Gallaher attended school at Wayne County High School and after joined the Army and bravely served his country during the Vietnam War. On January 20, 1970, he would marry the love of his life Ms. Joan Slater and together they would make Waynesboro their forever home. He and his wife raised their family on the farm they loved. He was a devoted family man and provided for them for many years as a truck driver, but father and grandfather were the titles he cherished the most. He loved the outdoors tinkering with old tractors and farm equipment, he possessed a knack for restoring and making old equipment functional, farming cattle, watching tractor shows on the RFD tv channel but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially giving his grandchildren tractor rides in his fields. He will always be remembered as the doting father and grandfather always available when his family needed him. Mr. Gallaher passed from this life on August 08,2024 at St. Thomas in Nashville at the age of 81 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Joan Slater Gallaher; son Lance Gallaher and his wife Tiffany all of Waynesboro, TN; daughter Michelle Mills of Hopewell VA; grandson Harrison Baylor Gallaher; granddaughters Joanna Kingsley,
