Thomas Gordon King Sr., 93, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Lauderdale Community Hospital. Visitation will be held from 3 until 7 PM Sunday evening at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley. Graveside services will be 2 PM Monday in Asbury Cemetery near Ripley.
Mr. King was a retired tool and die specialist for Tennessee Diecasting, a longtime volunteer fireman, and a member of the Tennessee National Guard. He was also a member of Hurricane Hill Methodist Church.
The husband of Emily Stone King, he is survived by a daughter Sheila Davidson of Somerville; 2 sons Thomas Gordon King Jr. of Ripley and Russell King of Merida, Mexico; a sister Ruth Edwards of Ripley; a brother Dennis King of Ripley; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son John David King.
